Cyborg-Lucario's News

Posted by Cyborg-Lucario - September 6th, 2023

It's something Inwould have said yesterday as I was posting the comic with Roxy but I did finish the script for a single episode comic which I will be drawing as soon as I have gotten feedback on the script.

And I would have done it a long while ago but I needed a placeholder until I'm able to work on the Heavenly Kyuubi pilot comic again, and I may get to do other comics I have thought of, but as anyone who tried to make a comic knows, they take time and effort and while I can't force you to fund it, you're still free to to support me on Patreon if you like the comics I made and want to see more of them.

The single episode comic I talked about features Cyborg-Lucario and some of my other Pokémon characters named "The MysteriousProphet". Originally I was gonna make an origin comic, which will still happen eventually.

The two higher rank memberships are able to have one of their characters make a cameo in any of my comics (as well as a discount on commissions). I know that I have permission to have my friends characters cameo not only in drawings but other drawings as well, but if they do choose to become a Patreon supporter.

My Patreon can be found here: https://www.patreon.com/CyborgLucario

Here's a list of comics I'm either currently working on or planning to work on:

Heavenly Kyuubi pilot comic: On hold until I get a new computer

The Mysterious Prophet: Script is finished

Cyborg-Lucario Origins: Script is in the work and may end up being four episodes long

Journey of the Gnoll Queen: Reworking the story I have written and posted so far for a comic. I can't say how long this comic series will be

Magical Guardian Magus Doe: On hold until further notice

Roxy comics: Gag based comics showing off the characters of a possible Wario-like game I would like to make

Galvantula-man: A possible four episode comic about a Pokémon version of Spider-man

Pokémon Wars Transformers: Another possible comic about the fight between Maximals and Predacons on the world of Pokémon but I don't know how long that will be

Ultraman Bifrost: A possible short comic of an Ultraman series but set in Sweden

The latter three while being fun ideas may not be something that gets the most priority unless I ferl like doing something fun.

What do you think about it? Any comic in particular that interests you?

To say that I got a lot of comic projects would be an understatement, not only do I need to finish the Heavenly Kyuubi pilot comic once I get a computer (since the finished pages are on external hard drives I can't access without one), I'm also working on the scripts for two different comics for Cyborg-Lucario, one detailing his origins and another that takes place more in the present.

Not to mention Magus Doe which has it's fourth issue currently on hold.

And now I'm thinking about redoing Journey of the Gnoll Queen as a comic. I don't want to call that story a failure and it has more to do with insecurity/paranoia but the reason I'm slow with updating it has not only to do with writers block but it also has to do with me not knowing what people like about them or if they even read what I have written and just looks at the drawings and faves them.

That would also let me make some improvements on the storytelling as I actually can show what Alexis and others are going through.

Also, I I did work a little on the script for a Galvantula-man comic, but despite all the ideas I have sketched for it I think it would be best to make it a one-shot, but it could happen that I would need to do this comic in four chapters if the story requires it.

And I also feel tempted to do some kind of Ultraman comic since Ultraman is cool and the currently running series Blazar is peak so far.

In either case, I hope that whatever comic I will make can be enjoyed by you all. And I hope it will not get too stressful for me.

It's August and well, as someone who tries to save money despite bills I haven't had the chance to see any movies at the cinema these past months and even if I'm able to get a new computer I would probably be saving money for a vacation.

You can still take part in the current donation drive if you wish to help me in my goals of getting the new computer. Not only do I need that to finish the Heavenly Kyuubi pilot comic I started on last year but also for possibly other work stuff and to play some games, especially games that friends have gifted me on Steam.

Speaking of jobs, yes I do try to look for jobs but so far I haven't been able to find any that works for me yet, and sadly for someone with autism, what jobs I can get is limited and even if I didn't have that or some disease it would still be hard since they expect experience that I may not have enough of.

I have also had the thought of either changing the €1 tier on my Patreon to €2 or keep the €1 but have it be more of a tip jar while the rewards tied to it will be moved to the new €2 tier.

I'm aware it might scare away people more than it already does, but the economy is rough...

Whether you agree or not I still hope you may get to support me: patreon.com/CyborgLucario

Here's a direct link to my Ko-fi if you want to donate or commission me: https://ko-fi.com/cyborglucario

And yes, I notice that I don't write journals that often. Does that make me boring?

Hello everyone, I have now an eBay where I will be selling my old Pokémon cards starting with the original base set from 1999. Other sets will be up soon (either the Jungle or Fossil set).

It's July now and where to start?

I may have some drawings to finish but I do want to continue writing even though it can be hard to get the motivation to do that.

I know that people seems to like my story Journey of the Gnoll Queen, but I haven't really gotten any comments on the parts that have been posted which makes me uncertain what about these parts it is that people likes or if they just looked at the art and faved without reading the story.

I know that I'm not always commenting, but I do want to get better at that.

For those who had read my stories so far, what about them do you like?

It would honestly help motivating me.

On to other things... there's no beating around the bush, despite Redbubble and Teepublic recently getting unfriendlier to smaller artists but I should try to at least get more merch up on those stores. Anything will be helpful since I haven't found a job that works for me yet.

Speaking of which, the donation drive will still be going since I really need to get to get a computer to finish the pilot comic for Heavenly Kyuubi. The finished pages are stored in one of my external hard drives and it would be difficult accessing them without a computer. X_X

I also want to return to streaming and making a big "relaunch" as the gnoll queen Alexis. C-L and other sonas/characters will still be used in some way during streams, I just hope that it's something you would like to watch, but I understand if timezones gets in the way

I will be streaming games and also do art since Twitch seem to have lighted up regarding what you can do on stream, but we'll have to see.

I just hope that I can find the motivation to do what I really want to do, your help is appreciated.

First off, I really want to thank everyone who has commissioned me so far and has helped me with bills, but I still have few bills left that happens to be the most expensive and are due in two days.

While I would ask for more commission (you're free to ask me for one), I also would be really thankful if you were to donate through my Ko-fi as part of my donation drive. For the next parts, Isabelle will appear to help Tom Nook out, but I will only draw those when each of the milestones are met.

Direct link to my Ko-fi where you may donate as much as you want: https://ko-fi.com/cyborglucario

And I would also like to remind you all that the highest donor of each part will receive a bonus pic, which will be ten of them that will either be done during or after the donation drive is finished.

In other news, because of the latest epieode of Helluva Boss I feel even more tempted to try my hands at making a hellhound as my hellsona. Not to worry, I will still be drawing more of my Zelda OCs including my Zonwi sona Lexai.

I will also try my best to find the time to write more of Journey of the Gnoll Queen and hope that it will be finished this year.

And I did start writing the script for a comic in May about Cyborg-Lucario and his supporting cast, which I also need to finish.

Oh boy, I sure will be busy, which means that I most probably won't have any time to RP (which I don't even do with just anyone), but I really hope people won't see me as anti-social because I don't like when people call me that and guilt tripping me doesn't make me want to spend more time with them.

I know it may sound harsh, but letting people do that to me may have been one of the things that caused me to become nervous these past few years.

Sorry for that sour note at the end, but if you have anything to say about it, feel free to comment, that way I know that you have read it.

I really hope by the goodness of your hearts that you will be able to help me out, thank you!

Hello everyone

It seemed like everything would turn out fine, but sadly bills came along, a lot of them, and that was around the same time I decided to do a new donation drive, which you can find in my gallery.

I would be thankful for the help, but commissions also works out well (and if you want, become a Patreon supporter)

If anyone wonders if I will do any special art for this month, then I sorry, I have no idea what to do this month. And also, despite being bi, I don't like walking around with it lile a label, because being bi is simply what I am.

However, I do have plans on remaking old drawings of mine, and I mean really old like my first few years on da and fa where I had a mix of hand drawn art and ms paint pics.

Talk about a strong comparison from back then to now.

If nothing else, I hope you're having a good time, and I also hope that there will be a time where I don't have to worry about bills while saving for a computer.

I plan on doing a donation drive next month to help saving up for a computer, but until then I need to do commissions to pay for the bills I got (and it's a lot), which you can do through Ko-fi (you may still donate if you want).

Spreading the word would be appreciated. 👍

Hello everyone!

It's past the middle of May and I'm happy to have a my insurance but I still would be thankful if people commissioned me since as you may know, being an artist is technically my job (I think there is a certain threshold for how much you need to earn to have people consider it a job).

I do still have a Patreon and if you haven't seen it, some perks you can get like with the highest tier giving you either a line art drawing with no extra cost or 50% on any other drawing.

Like you would save €10 on a fully coloured with two characters in it.

I have had the thought of making a new donation drive through Ko-fi but I'm not sure if I should be using one of my own characters or one from a franchise that I like, and also, I'm not sure I got the charisma to get people interested in donating for the goal to get a new computer, but do you have any suggestions?

And work can get slow as I still haven’t finished the script for a one-shot comic featuring my Pokémon characters and part of that is due to The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Man, this game is really great even though I have only gotten to finish one of the dungeons but that's because of the side quests and everything you can find by exploring (makes me wish that Game Freak could have gotten help from a studio like Monolith Soft when it came to open worlds), not to mention finding the titular tears.

And it might be an early game spoiler but Rauru is hot!

I hope anyone who's playing it is also having a good time.

Until next time, see ya!

After three years of work practice (which shouldn't have taken that long if it wasn't for the pandemic) I finally got my insurance approved by the Swedish Social Insurance company, now I don't have to worry about the ones at the commune giving me less money because of commission money or simple transfer between friends and family.

Admittedly, even though I'm happy to have a proper income I can't exactly take pride in how it's difficult for me to get a job since (I may not have said it before) I have a hard time focusing a lot of times, gets distracted and I'm not the best planner.

But hey, I'm happy that it got approved before my birthday, which is (as of the writing of this journal) in five days.

I don't ask for much, and IT'S JUST A SUGGESTION but if you want you can check my Throne wishlist for things you could gift me:

https://throne.com/alexis_strype/wishlist

Or you may draw for me if you got the time. Which is just simply another suggestion because birthdays and Christmas is the only times I will ask for art because those times are special and I wish to commission others if I want art, which I hope that I can do soon, but also while saving for a computer.

But honestly, do whatever you feel like. Just saying happy birthday is good enough.

And I do want to make it clear for the third time that it's just a suggestion since I don't want to put people through the same things I have been going through, even if those were in private.

I honestly wish that I could say no easier no matter whatever excuse those asking me for free art may have.

Even though I got my insurance approved, I still need to get money to make sure I can pay for my bills, and I would say its quite urgent: https://ko-fi.com/cyborglucario

You can either commission me or just donate on my Ko-fi.

If you have read all the way through, how are you doing? I hope you're doing well.
